I kinda miss the "crossover weirdness" a lot of crossovers used to have. Like, nowadays it all feels like giants mashing together all of the things they own or all of the things they use their enormous amounts of money to get the rights to instead of some random company just scrapping together what they have. I want more Dreammix TV World Fighterses.
Looking at the MVS Banana Guard discourse is kinda depressing, because there's a lot of people who dislike the character not because of their personal perception of the character's merits or lack therof, but just because of his hypothetical impact on the game's reputation when revealed, which is just an extremely sad way to look at anything.

I think people would've taken Banana Guard better if he was not a relaunch character, if he were added a bit after launch people would see him as weird and he'd still have detractors but I think adding him just a but later woulda helped with the perception

because as of now people are assuming he's "stealing" a precious launch slot from Barbie or Beetlejuice or Dexter or Dexter's Monkey

Also here's something of note, Multiversus isn't like Smash or Nasb or other platform fighters. It's a live service game, there's not a predetermined list of 25 characters and then the game is done barring maybe DLC.

A live service game is designed to keep going and going for years and years if successful. There's no end goal, no end amount of characters. No character is stealing a slot from another, characters are being added when it makes sense to add them and the resources are available.

I can’t really blame people for worrying about the health of the game (bad reputation = the game going poof, especially given that the game shut down once already,) although it sounds like a very frustrating mindset to have.

We also just don’t know what the silent majority thinks about niche picks. People are making a lot of assumptions.

don't wanna say too much but I'm in a discord sever with someone who knows someone who worked on this and it sounded like a mess. Insane clash between writers room and producers
Got NASB and the DLC for dirt cheap.

I had it before on my dad's Steam account, now I have it on my laptop as well. Quick notes:
-Korra is for sure my favorite character, Ganondorf with a recovery is fun as hell
-Game used to make my brain explode, but after switching to my Rivals control scheme it got way easier. Only thing is, I sitll don't know what to use the Strafe button.
-Hardcore Chores easily my favorite stage, on account of the aesthetic and the Randall asteroids

Stafe is not very useful on the ground, since most projectile moves stop your momentum completely on the ground, but in the air it is very important, since you turn in the air otherwise and most air attacks are assymetrical, while most projectiles you do still move a bit while performing in the air.
